anzac day
Anzac day is a day to remember the good solders who fought in WW1 (25 April 1915) for our great nation. No one knows for sure how many Australians died on the first day, perhaps 650. Total casualties, including wounded, must have been about 2,000. This news trickled in to the Australian newspapers. Even a month after the landing, only 350 deaths had been acknowledged. Till this day we still remember the great solders who fought in WW1. Thank you for listing to my short story about anzac day. Rykar

Hi Rykar.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great piece of writing on the ANZAC's. So many New Zealand and Australian soldiers and nurses lost their lives during WW1.
Have you ever attended the dawn parade on ANZAC day? It is quite moving to stand in silence in rememberence and the last post is played.
